Dr. John Cambridge is a pioneering figure at the intersection of science education, conservation, and entrepreneurship. After earning his Ph.D. in Entomology from Rutgers University in 2016, Dr. Cambridge set out to transform how people engage with insects and other arthropods — creatures vital to our ecosystems yet often misunderstood.

Since then, he has founded and grown more than half a dozen businesses focused on arthropod zoos and life-science museums. His innovative approach to live-animal experiences has not only drawn widespread acclaim but also helped train countless educators and presenters to share these extraordinary creatures safely and compellingly with the public.

Today, as the CEO of Village Edu, a new non-profit zoo in the Washington, DC area, Dr. Cambridge continues to break new ground. Village Edu specializes in immersive animal interactions paired with data-driven community interventions designed to halt and reverse the alarming decline of global biodiversity. Under his leadership, the organization is building a model that blends unforgettable educational encounters with meaningful conservation outcomes.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Cambridge remains deeply committed to fostering curiosity and stewardship in future generations. Whether leading a classroom demonstration, advising on exhibit design, or developing novel outreach strategies, he brings an infectious enthusiasm that turns awe into action.
